Yes that’s right, Team Ultimate’s Troy Sheridan (14-1 record) will be entering a 160lbs tournament through Journey Fight Series in Calgary, AB on June 9th with other various top level North American fighters! If (or should we say when) Troy wins, he’ll advance up the tournament rankings and will keep fighting again throughout the year leading into the finals.
The people at Muay Thai Authority wrote an article about the upcoming event.
From the article:
“Also taking place at Journey Fight Series VI will be the opening round of the 160lb tournament. Seven of the fighters that have verbally agreed to participate in the tournament have officially signed their contracts. They are Troy Sheridan, Ken Tran, Sean McKinnon, Nate Chambers, Marcus Fisher, Preston Baptiste and Pascal Jean-Michael. Daniel Kim is the only fighter that has not signed his contract to compete in the tournament.”

This is a huge event that Troy is currently training hard for. Not only will this be a huge opportunity for him that would bring his overall Muay Thai rankings up, but this will help maintain the already superior reputation of Ultimate Martial Arts. Be sure to provide some words of encouragement over to him leading up to the fight. We’ll post more details about the Journey Fight Series event leading up to the date of the event.
Don’t forget that Troy also teaches Gold Level Muay Thai classes at the Scarborough location every Tuesday at 7pm and at the Brampton (South West) location every Saturday at 10:30am. These are classes that you definitely don’t want to miss and will help strengthen all of your technique! If you don’t have your Gold Level yet and would like details about it, speak to a staff member the next time you’re in the gym.
